You would need to set up the SBS as a VPN server. The router would also need to be set up to allow the proper protocols and data to pass through it to the internal Network. Of course, users would have to be granted the proper dial-in permissions also. For networks setups

This way the only open ports the Sonicwall allows is the VPN port and an HTTP (prefferrably HTTPS) port mapped out somewhere like port 2687. A few sites are more "open" on the firewall but only after discussing the pro's and cons with the owners. So the short answer is that the setup you are using will work.
